Global issues related to forestry sectors will be discussed. Past and new approaches used to address socio-economic and environmental issues in forestry are assessed. Forestry policies that shape forestry at the global and local level are explained. Global forestry issues and policies will affect forest plantation and agroforestry development and management. Specific issues and policies related to forest plantation and agroforestry in the local context will be discussed.
